St Monica’s College, Epping was founded in 1964. The college now enrols over 1900 students as a Catholic co-educational secondary school (Years 7 to 12). The sporting program at the College offers all students the chance to participate in a wide variety of sports, catering for the elite student athletes in addition to students participating purely for fun and enjoyment.
St Monica’s College run two high performance sports programs – the Athlete Development Program and the Talent Identification and Development Program. These programs provide opportunities for talented student athletes with additional high performance physical preparation for their respective sporting activities. As such, the staff at St Monica’s were looking to put in place a dedicated strength and conditioning facility designed to help their athletes get the most of their time at school.
Working with a floorspace of approximately 100sqm a combination of rubber gym flooring tiles and blue turf was installed, along with four 1RM Commercial Squat Racks – joined across the top in order to provide additional chin up stations. Each squat rack was stocked with a 360 Strength PRO Barbell, 360 Strength Bumper Plates, J-hooks, Spotter Arms and Landmine.
Along with the impressive rack set up the space also includes a number of Adjustable Benches, Foam Plyometric Boxes, Glute Ham Developers, a Driver Sled and a range of Rubber Hex Dumbbells, Slam Balls, Kettlebells, Foam Rollers, and Bands.
The team at Little Bloke Fitness are pleased to have provided St Monica’s College with a premium selection of gym equipment to support their in-house programs and the ongoing training needs of their athletes.
